Legal Department

With an aim to ensure compliance with approved regulation and in support of SIDF aspirations, the Legal Department comes to play a vital role in the decision-making process and to serve as the legal backbone of SIDF. Its responsibilities revolve around:

  • Prepare and review loan contracts and related agreements, administrative contracts, and other standard contracts.
  • Review procurement documents and all agreements that involve SIDF as a party.
  • Examine and provide constructive legal viewpoints.
  • Provide legal advice to SIDF departments and clients.
  • Review the SIDF legal rules, regulations, and policies.
  • Follow up on the collection of unpaid loans and make the necessary adjustments according to relevant regulations.
  • Follow up on the documentation of mortgages, financial guarantees, and their amendments in notaries and other entities, in addition to mortgage redemption procedures.
  • Review financial guarantees and insurance arrangements on projects financed by SIDF.
  • Represent SIDF in external committees in all legal and regulatory affairs.
