Saudi Industrial Development Fund Receives ISO 20000 Certificate for IT Service Management


SIDF received "ISO 20000:2011" certificate for IT service management after satisfying all required conditions and criteria and passing tests and inspections implemented by (RIR – RoyalCert International Registrars), a body certified by (TCL – Transpacific Certifications Limited).


This certificate is a result of SIDF's efforts in developing an advanced technical infrastructure coupled with a fertile ground for innovation of optimum practical solutions for information technology. In addition, it reflects the distinguished level of IT services and the continuous developments made in order to provide high quality electronic services and highly secured and protected electronic environment.


In this respect, SIDF Assistant Director General/ IT and Strategic Planning, Ahmed Al-Suwaiyan, expressed SIDF's pride in its accomplishments the technical field. He stressed "the accomplishments reflect SIDF's attempt to cope with the accelerating technical developments and transitions, apply new technologies and comply with international quality standards". He added "The Fund is keen on applying the highest quality and security standards and implementing distinguished processes and services in order to support the success of its plans and strategic goals". "Receiving this internationally approved certificate is an important achievement affirming the Fund's commitment to spreading the culture of distinction among all of its departments" stated Mr. Ahmed.


He received the certificate on behalf of Mr. Khalid Al-Zain, IT Consultant and Project Manager, from Wipro Arabia Limited (London). It is worth mentioning that SIDF had previously received (ISO 9001:2008) for quality management and (ISO 27001:2013) for Information Security System.
