Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Honors Winning teams at the Conclusion of the 4th Edition

with Record National Participation
His Excellency the Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Industrial Development Fund (SIDF), Mr. Bandar bin Ibrahim AlKhorayef, honored the winning teams of the fourth edition of the Industry Hackathon during the closing ceremony organized by SIDF.
The ceremony was attended by His Excellency the Minister of State and Member of the Council of Ministers, Dr. Hamad bin Mohammed Al Al-Sheikh, and His Highness the CEO of SIDF, Prince Sultan bin Khalid bin Faisal Al Saud.

The fourth edition of the Industrial Hackathon brought together 229 participants representing 60 teams, who showcased innovative solutions to industrial challenges proposed by national manufacturers.
The total value of prizes exceeded SAR 1.7 million, distributed among the top three winners across the four challenge tracks — Design, Production, Sustainability, and Automation.
The first-place winner in each track received SAR 120,000, the second-place winner SAR 80,000, and the third-place winner SAR 60,000, in recognition of the participants’ creative efforts and innovative solutions across various fields.

In addition to the financial prizes, SIDF offered all participants development opportunities through specialized training and qualification programs conducted in collaboration with industrial sector partners, aiming to enhance their skills and capabilities.
The winners and participants were also connected with business incubators and accelerators to help transform their innovative ideas into viable and scalable projects, alongside intellectual property support in cooperation with the Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property (SAIP) to ensure the protection of participants’ rights.

It is worth mentioning that the Industrial Hackathon – Fourth Edition was organized in partnership with Riyad Bank, Sahara International Petrochemical Company (Sipchem), King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), and King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST), with Ma’aden as the platinum sponsor — reflecting the strong collaboration between the public and private sectors in supporting the national industrial innovation ecosystem.
