SIDF Concludes Registration Phase of “Industrial Hackathon 2025” with Record National Participation
The Saudi Industrial Development Fund (SIDF) has concluded the registration phase for the 4th edition of the “Industrial Hackathon”, an event focused on engaging young talents to present groundbreaking solutions to the challenges faced by national manufacturers.
This edition has recorded more than 9,600 talents registered. A total of 967 teams participated, 43% male and 57% female, spread across four tracks: Design, Production, Sustainability, Automation – a newly added track this year.
The participants’ journey in the Industrial Hackathon 2025 is divided into four main phases:
• Registration phase (August 24 - October 1).
• Announcement of shortlisted teams (October 9).
• Bootcamp phase (October 23 – 24), featuring workshops and mentorship sessions.
• Final ceremony and winners’ announcement (October 25).
The total value of prizes in this year’s edition exceeds SAR 1,700,000. The 2025 edition is organized in partnership with Riyad Bank, Sahara International Petrochemical Company (SIPCHEM), King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), and King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST), with platinum sponsorship from Ma’aden.
