Transforming the Kingdom into a Global Logistics Hub

Supporting the logistics sector is one of the targets of Vision 2030 to transfer the Kingdom’s into a global logistics hub. Council of Ministers promulgated a resolution to amend SIDF’s mandate to promote its role as a key financial enabler for the logistics sector through financing the following:

3PL Services:

  • Establishment of value-added warehouses, support of truck transportation and IT systems for logistics services.

Infrastructure for Air, Dry and Sea Ports:

  • Design and construction of ports and airports along with the establishment of port facilities such as highways, water supply networks and electrical wiring.

Port Handling Services:

  • Port handling and support services such as cargo unloading solutions using specialized equipment.

Cargo Ship Projects:

  • Manufacture and purchase of container ships and feeder vessels.

Air Cargo Projects:

  • Support of air freight services that carry goods between global markets.

Rail Transport Projects:

  • Locomotives and carriages.
