Strategic Planning Department

In an attempt to advance integration and enhance the future vision of SIDF, the Strategic Planning Department emerged as the outcome of thoroughly scrutinized plans and strategies by coordinating with:

Strategy Division

The Strategy Division is entrusted with formulating the vision, mission and objectives of SIDF as well as defining priorities, allocating resources and efforts, and managing strategic initiatives to ensure alignment with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030. The Division administers these roles depending on two teams:

A- The Strategic Planning Team:

This team is concerned with developing SIDF’s strategy in cooperation with internal and external stakeholders and parties, activating strategic initiatives and enabling initiative teams to achieve SIDF goals, as well as ensuring full alignment of SIDF’s directions with Vision 2030.

B- The Strategic Project Management Team:

This team is concerned with managing the strategic initiatives of SIDF toward achieving the vision, mission and goals of SIDF, thereby creating and managing the synergy and integration between strategic goals and the governance of daily operations.

Corporate Performance Management Division

The Corporate Performance Management Division is affiliated with the Strategic Planning Department, and is designated to ensure the efficient performance of the Organization by warranting that strategic performance measures (SPMs) are explicitly defined and systematically monitored and controlled. The Division is also responsible for managing the business processes of SIDF by providing a centralized platform for the digital documentation and management of business processes.

A) Corporate Performance Management team

is responsible for implementing the corporate performance management framework and providing SIDF’s management with the required visibility for timely, data-driven decision making.

Key activities include:

  • Deliver a comprehensive and consolidated outlook of SIDF strategy
  • Assess, manage, and implement current strategy targets following best practices and methodologies
  • Develop the governance for the performance management practice within SIDF

Process Management Team, whose tasks involves:

  • Managing the process of developing corporate-wide, VP- and department-level scorecards.
  • Communicating the scorecards with relevant stakeholders within the organization.
  • Regularly monitoring corporate performance throughout the annual cycle to identify variances in expected levels of performance.
  • Coordinating with Division Performance Champions to ensure that corporate performance data is captured on a timely basis and in accordance with relevant requirements.
  • Providing advisory for all stakeholders about corporate performance management related inquiries.

B) Business Process Management Team

is responsible for the creation and management of the organization wide process digital repository. The team engages actively in process improvement projects by either responding to users’ requests for process improvement or processing performance feedback.

Key activities include:

  • Deliver a comprehensive and consolidated outlook of SIDF strategy
  • Assess, manage, and implement current strategy targets following best practices and methodologies
  • Develop the governance for the performance management practice within SIDF

Process Management Team, whose tasks involves:

  • Creating and maintaining all SIDF business processes (Process Architecture) in a central repository in ARIS BPM tool.
  • Establishing performance metrics on the prioritized business process.
  • Handling process-related requests coming from different stakeholders including Process Change requests.
  • Training stakeholders on the BPM concepts and practices.
  • Participating and leading process improvement initiatives.
  • Standardizing and maintaining ARIS BPM tool and content.
