Technology Service Delivery

Technology Service Delivery Department’s role is to manage and govern technology/business services related initiatives and make sure that they are delivered with the agreed criteria, time, quality and with full security and to choose the best fit technology. This department consists of Project Management, Business Analysis, Solution& Design and Enterprise Architecture

Project Management Office

Project management office plans and develops technology projects management and operational processes to achieve benefits and desired goals. PMO main roles are:

  • Manage Technology Projects
  • Provide support and governance for Technology projects.
  • Prepare status reports and projects performance indicators reports.
  • Develop the project management system, tools and mechanisms.
  • Establish and develop projects management methodology according to PMI methodology.
  • Prepare the annual budget of technology

Business Analysis (BA)

Business analysis division is responsible for bridging the gap between IT and the business by engaging with the business leaders and users to understand and define the business requirements related to a change to process, products or services to get IT onboard and understand what the user really wants by creating a detailed business analysis document which outline the problems/opportunities and the business requirements, and study the total impacts of the request/change . Also, document the required business process.

Solution & Design (S&D)

Solution & Design division studies the details technical requirements in a Solution Design Report (SDR) for the requested service for Information Technology to develop. The SDR will follow the concepts of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Solution & Design also assess existing services from a best practice User Experience (UX) perspective.

Enterprise Architecture (EA)

Enterprise Architecture assists business to find suitable technology related solutions and standards to address business demands and requirements and ensure that these technical solutions are aligned with the SIDF Business Strategy, which also feeds into Technology/Digital Strategy. EA offers the service of assisting with the crafting of Request for Proposals (RFP) and assistance in evaluating technical proposals. Another main role is advising the Change Advisory Board (CAB) on what change requests from business should be built in-house or bought as a Commercial of the Shelf Solution (COTS). EA also will study business and technology trends that may help SIDF strategically and propose such solutions to the necessary stakeholders. Their policies and standards are aligned to Total Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF) and National Overall Reference Architecture (NORA).
